Sometimes unusual ideas are the best. What about holding a Java unconference at a relaxing hot spring (Onsen) deep in the heart of Japan? Having Java experts from Japan and all around the world together in a relaxing atmosphere to philosophize and exchange ideas.

I can announce JOnsen 2017, that will take place on the beautiful Izu peninsula in Japan, close to Mount Fuji and Tokyo. The unconference format will be one of an Open Space Technology, with Japanese food, good coffee and of course a lot of Onsen bathing.

JOnsen 2017 will take place from May 12th - 14th.

As you can see, Duke is already enjoying it :-)
