I’ve recorded a video in which I want to show why it makes sense to develop Enterprise Java applications with both Java EE and MicroProfile. I’ll show how to use MicroProfile projects to fill the gaps in Java EE when building cloud native microservice applications.

We will see an approach that build on plain Java EE which is enhanced by MicroProfile for Config and Fault Tolerance. I’m using the Open Liberty application server which supports both Java EE 8 and the latest MicroProfile version to enable this approach by still being able to deploy thin deployment artifacts.
